In an announcement this morning Steel Series and Megarom stated that they would be funding the international Dota 2 superstars attendance. To the incredible excitement of many a Dota 2 fan, Danylo “Dendi” Ishutin will be attending Rage expo this year at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg this year.
Jason Borea, Marketing Director at Megarom Interactive, had this to say about the announcement:
“We’re excited to have a player of Dendi’s caliber attend rAge this year. It’s always great when we have international professional gamers visiting South Africa we hope that his professionalism and experience will rub off on our local players and inspire them to reach new heights".
Well done to the guys from Rage for pulling this off. This could be a big inspiration for local players of any gaming genre.
Also in Rage related news, if getting to The Dome is proving to be a challenge for you then you might want to consider making use of the BT Games Shuttle Bus service. There will be BT Games branded shuttle buses from the Sandton Gautrain station to The Coca-Cola Dome and back at R50 per return ticket. Tickets for this shuttle service are available at iTickets. When you arrive at the Gautrain Sandton station, look out for the rAge Expo Lollipop signs that rAge staff will be holding up and you will be directed to the shuttle bus.
The service hours are as follows:
Friday 4 October: 9am to 6pm
Saturday 5 October: 8am to 6pm
Sunday 6 October: 9am to 4pm
